In the wake of being upbraided by the Gujarat High Court over its inability to hold races to nearby bodies inside of the stipulated time span, the State Election Commission has declared the race calendar to six city partnerships, regions, zilla panchayat and gram panchayats of Gujarat.
Six metropolitan companies, including Ahmedabad will go to surveys on November 22 and meaning these will be hung on November 26. Voting in favor of regions, zilla panchayat and gram panchayats will be hung on November 29 and numbering will happen on December 2.

State Election Commissioner Varesh Sinha says the SEC is sticking to High Court arranges and has looked for extra security powers to hold reasonable decisions.
Prior this week, the Gujarat High Court, while putting aside the commission's warning delaying surveys by three months, guided the race commission to hold nearby body surveys forthwith.
